January 16, 2014: Neal Barrett, Jr.: 1929-2014Locus Online News reports that SF author Neal Barrett, Jr. has passed away at the age of 84. Barrett was probably best known for his fantasy novel The Hereafter Gang and for many short stories, notably "Perpetuity Blues."
