May 19, 2012: I Want One For The Bathysphere-Polishing Chamber

I'm a fan of steampunk (and, judging by the number of folks who picked up Pyramid #3/39: Steampunk from a few months ago, so are many of you). I especially love that genre's technology. So when I saw a YouTube video depicting an impossibly complex cogwork bottle opener created by Rob Higgs . . . well, I was delighted. If you have a couple of minutes, it's worth a watch.

"Why would it take a couple of minutes to open a bottle?" you might ask. Well, the contraption also needs to ring a bell when it's done . . . and then pour a perfect glass of wine.
